This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Dallas Love Field Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 30 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=kdal This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Persistent high pressure and southerly flow are sustaining above-normal heat across North Texas, positioning 100–101°F as the clear market favorite for Dallas’s highest temperature on August 30.** Official NWS point forecasts and area matrices issued August 28 consistently call for sunny skies, highs near 100–102°F, and heat-index values up to 106–107°F, with negligible rain chances and lows in the upper 70s to low 80s. This aligns with the ongoing late-summer pattern in which a strong upper-level ridge has kept daily maxima at or above 100°F for multiple consecutive days, well above the 1991–2020 climatological average high of ~94°F for the date. Model consensus shows little day-to-day change through the weekend, with only modest variations in wind speed (generally 5–10 mph from the south) that are unlikely to alter peak readings meaningfully. Historical analogs reinforce the outlook: while records reach 107°F, recent years have more often produced highs in the upper 90s to low 100s under similar ridge setups. Traders have therefore assigned the highest implied probability (57.5%) to the 100–101°F bin, with secondary weight on the adjacent 98–99°F and 102–103°F ranges, reflecting the narrow uncertainty band typical of short-range temperature forecasts this close to the event. Updated NWS guidance on August 29–30 will be the next key data point that could shift these market-implied odds.
