This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 4 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=katl This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Persistent high-pressure ridging and above-normal heat across the Southeast are anchoring current trader sentiment for Atlanta's September 4 minimum temperature.** Official National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble guidance indicate a continued hot, mostly clear pattern with daytime highs in the mid-90s (several degrees above the early-September normal of ~87°F) and overnight lows centered in the mid-70s. This setup—driven by light southeast winds, high humidity, and minimal cloud cover or precipitation—favors a daily minimum near 74–76°F, aligning with the market's notable liquidity in the 72–77°F bins. The near-tie between the 67°F-or-below (45.5%) and 86°F-or-higher (45.0%) outcomes reflects model uncertainty in how quickly any subtle cooling or increased moisture could arrive, versus the risk of the ridge holding firm and limiting nocturnal radiational cooling. Recent developments include record-challenging heat on September 1–2 (highs approaching or tying 1957 marks) and heat-index values exceeding 100°F, which have reinforced expectations of sustained warmth but also highlight the potential for small forecast shifts from new model runs or minor steering changes. Historical analogs for early September show typical overnight lows in the upper 60s to low 70s under similar ridging, underscoring why traders weigh both the baseline warm bias and tail-risk deviations as resolution nears.
