Current NWS and private model consensus points to overnight lows in the mid-50s for Seattle on September 3, driving the market's tight clustering around 54-55°F at 36% implied probability. Persistent cloud cover from an approaching frontal system limits radiational cooling at the surface, while moderate southerly winds and proximity to Puget Sound maintain a mild marine influence that prevents sharper drops typical under clear, calm conditions. Historical averages near 55°F and recent September patterns with limited cold-air advection reinforce this range, though any unexpected clearing overnight could allow brief cooling toward the 52-53°F bin. Updated model runs and the next NWS forecast discussion remain the key near-term catalysts.
