Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Atlanta on September 11 highlight a primary driver of trader sentiment: a predicted high near 93°F under mostly sunny morning conditions shifting to showers likely after midday, with temperatures potentially falling into the mid-80s as convection develops. This creates uncertainty around peak attainment, favoring market-implied probabilities clustered in the 88–93°F range amid model consensus on above-average warmth relative to the historical September 11 mean of roughly 85°F. Afternoon thunderstorm potential, dew points near 70°F, and light southwest winds introduce variability in how much cooling occurs before the daily maximum registers, while upcoming NWS updates and new model runs could refine these resolution thresholds.
