Forecasts from the National Weather Service and other models indicate a high near 93°F for Atlanta on September 10 under mostly sunny skies with light southeast winds and only a 20% afternoon shower chance, supporting the market's concentration on 90–93°F outcomes. This reflects above-normal warmth driven by mid-level ridging across the southern U.S., following a brief cool-down earlier in the week when highs dipped to the low 80s. Afternoon temperatures may peak before any convection develops, with heat indices approaching 98°F. Historical averages for the date sit near 85°F, making the current setup a notable warm anomaly. Traders will monitor updated NWS point forecasts and model runs for any shifts in steering patterns or moisture that could alter peak readings before resolution.
