**Trader consensus centers on an 80-81°F high for Chicago on September 11, reflecting official National Weather Service and model guidance for sunny conditions under high pressure centered over the eastern Great Lakes.** Light easterly winds off Lake Michigan are expected to moderate temperatures, limiting inland peaks to the low 80s while keeping lakeside readings in the mid-70s. This setup follows several days of above-normal warmth earlier in September and aligns with the 1991-2020 average high of roughly 78°F for the date. Model runs show minimal disagreement, with peak readings most likely between 79-82°F depending on exact station location and timing of maximum insolation. The market-implied probabilities closely track these forecasts, with only low odds assigned to outcomes above 82°F or below 78°F given the stable atmospheric pattern and absence of stronger advection.
