Kris Kobach, the Republican incumbent, leads trader pricing in the Kansas attorney general race at 62 percent implied probability, ahead of Democratic challenger Chris Mann at 37 percent. Both candidates secured their party nominations unopposed in the August 4 primaries for the November 3, 2026 general election, setting up a rematch of the 2022 contest that Kobach won by roughly 1.6 percentage points. Recent campaign finance reports show Mann raising substantially more funds than the incumbent since the start of the year, while outside groups have committed millions in advertising on both sides. Sabato’s Crystal Ball rates the race Lean Republican as of late August, reflecting Kansas’s historical Republican tilt in statewide executive contests alongside the narrow margin last cycle and broader midterm dynamics. No major late-breaking developments have altered the positioning.
