Recent polling averages ahead of the September 13 Swedish parliamentary election positioned the Moderate Party behind the Social Democrats but ahead of the Sweden Democrats for second place, reflecting steady support levels near 17-19 percent amid bloc competition. The right-leaning Tidö parties' campaign focus on security, crime reduction, and migration policy helped sustain Moderate backing in key voter segments, while Sweden Democrats faced slight erosion in final surveys. With results still being finalized after a narrow overall bloc contest, trader consensus reflects this pattern. Late overseas or absentee ballot shifts, stronger-than-expected turnout for smaller parties like the Centre or Greens, or revised seat allocations could still alter second-place ordering before official confirmation.
