Trader consensus reflects uncertainty over who will lead the first White House press briefing after Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt's imminent maternity leave, due in May, with no official temporary replacement announced despite her ongoing duties through April 15. Principal deputy Anna Kelly and assistant Taylor Rogers top implied probabilities near 25% as logical internal promotions given their briefing room roles, but Education Secretary Linda McMahon edges ahead on bets tied to her Trump loyalty and communications savvy, while advisor Stephen Miller draws support from his policy hawkishness. The tight race mirrors Trump's history of surprise executive branch picks, with Vice President JD Vance and even President Trump viable amid unscripted briefings. An official leave start or Trump endorsement could swiftly separate frontrunners before May 31 resolution.
