This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Esenboğa Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 1 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=ltac If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event which there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast consensus from multiple meteorological sources positions 30°C as the most probable daily maximum for Ankara on September 1, 2026, with 31°C a close secondary outcome.** Current model runs and 10-day outlooks issued in late August consistently indicate sunny or mostly clear conditions, light winds (typically 2–4 m/s), low humidity (25–40% during peak heating), and minimal precipitation risk, supporting peak temperatures near or slightly above the early-September climatological average of ~27–28°C. These conditions arise from persistent high-pressure influence over central Anatolia, allowing strong daytime solar insolation on the Anatolian plateau before seasonal cooling accelerates later in the month. Historical September maxima rarely exceed 32°C early in the period, and no anomalous heatwave or cold-air intrusion appears in the latest guidance, keeping probabilities for 32°C or higher below 1% and for 29°C or below at ~11.5% combined. Traders are effectively pricing the narrow uncertainty band around official and ensemble forecasts (e.g., from Turkish Met and global models), which converge on 29–31°C. Any late-model shift in cloud cover, wind direction, or boundary-layer mixing could nudge the outcome within this range before resolution.
