Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to a typical early-September setup for San Francisco, with morning marine layer and onshore flow limiting afternoon warming and supporting highs clustered in the mid-to-upper 60s. Trader sentiment reflects this narrow range because ensemble spreads remain modest yet non-zero, driven by uncertainty in exact marine-layer depth and timing of any clearing. Historical September 1 averages near 70 °F provide context, but persistent northwest winds and coastal stratus favor the cooler side of climatology unless subsidence strengthens. Upcoming model runs and morning soundings will refine whether the high reaches the 70–71 °F bin or stays nearer 66–67 °F.
