Trader sentiment for San Francisco's September 12 high temperature centers on the narrow spread between 68–69°F and 70–71°F because official forecasts and model consensus point to a mild day shaped by persistent onshore westerly flow. A strong sea breeze, typical of the region's marine climate, develops by midday and caps warming despite mostly clear skies and light morning clouds, keeping readings near the long-term September average of roughly 71°F. Recent conditions show no offshore wind shift or elevated pressure ridge that would allow interior heat to reach the coast, while dew points in the mid-50s and humidity near 70% further moderate the peak. With resolution hinging on the official maximum recorded at downtown or airport stations, traders weigh minor forecast adjustments in afternoon wind strength and marine-layer depth as the key variables that could tip the outcome between the two leading bins.
