Recent National Weather Service guidance and model consensus point to a high near 93°F for Houston on September 14, aligning with the market’s leading 92-93°F bin at 50% implied probability. Persistent southerly flow and high moisture content support daytime heating into the mid-90s, yet widespread afternoon convection—typical in the late-summer pattern—should cap extreme peaks. Recent days have featured similar mid-90s readings with heat indices above 105°F, while climatological September averages sit near 89°F. Updated short-range model runs and real-time surface observations on the 14th remain the key near-term catalysts that could shift probabilities among the tightly grouped 90-95°F outcomes.
