Recent August inflation printed at 1.7% month-over-month, the lowest level in 14 months and in line with consensus, reinforcing the disinflation trajectory under fiscal surplus and exchange-rate management. Central Bank REM surveys point to 1.8% for September, with core measures and food components showing moderation while regulated and seasonal items introduce volatility. Trader-implied odds remain nearly even between the 1.6–1.8% and 1.9–2.1% bins because the path of monthly prints depends on near-term food price swings and any utility adjustments, creating a narrow window for resolution once INDEC releases the figure in mid-October.
