Persistent southerly flow behind a recent cold front, combined with widespread cloud cover and scattered rain, is suppressing daytime heating in São Paulo and anchoring market-implied odds near 17–18°C for September 13. These conditions limit solar insolation and enhance evaporative cooling, keeping the maximum well below the September climatological average of about 23°C. Model consensus from sources such as the Met Office and regional guidance shows highs clustered at 16–19°C, with the narrow spread between leading outcomes reflecting minor differences in forecast rain timing and boundary-layer mixing. Updated runs from INMET or CPTEC, expected within the next 12–24 hours, will clarify whether any late-day clearing could push the peak toward 18–19°C or keep it capped near 17°C.
