Recent National Weather Service and private model runs indicate a cooling trend in Denver after early-September highs near 93–94°F, with Tuesday’s maximum expected in the mid-to-upper 80s amid partly cloudy skies, light easterly winds, and a modest chance of isolated afternoon thunderstorms. These conditions create tight differentiation among the leading market bins: greater cloud cover or earlier convection would cap readings near 86–87°F, while clearer skies and stronger downslope flow could push peaks to 88–89°F or briefly 90–91°F. Ensemble spread in boundary-layer moisture and timing of any showers keeps the three central outcomes nearly even, reflecting genuine forecast uncertainty two days out. Updated NWS guidance and 12z model runs on September 7 will likely sharpen trader positioning ahead of resolution.
