Forecast models from Chinese meteorological sources indicate a highest temperature in Chengdu on September 6 most likely between 32–34°C, with scattered clouds and possible light rain or showers moderating peak heating. Recent days under subtropical high pressure produced clearer skies and highs near 34–35°C, but an approaching weather system is expected to increase cloud cover and humidity, limiting intense solar radiation and surface warming. These conditions create tight market-implied odds around 33–35°C, as small shifts in timing or intensity of precipitation could tip the daily maximum by 1–2°C. Official updates from the China Meteorological Administration and refined model consensus over the next 48 hours will likely refine trader positioning ahead of resolution.
