Forecast models from agencies including the Pakistan Meteorological Department and international sources like the Met Office indicate a daytime maximum of 34°C for Karachi on September 17, 2026, under mostly sunny to hazy conditions with southwest winds of 10–20 mph. This aligns with trader consensus favoring the 34°C outcome at 65.5% implied probability, as September climatology typically features highs of 32–35°C after monsoon retreat, with limited intensification potential from current atmospheric patterns. Recent observations and GFS ensemble runs show consistency around 33–34°C, with only modest upside risk to 35°C if afternoon clearing enhances solar heating. Market-implied odds reflect skin-in-the-game assessment of official recording thresholds and model consensus rather than outlier scenarios.
