Persistent cloud cover, widespread rain, and moderate southwesterly winds are capping daytime highs in Amsterdam for September 17, keeping forecast maxima centered on 17–18 °C according to the latest model consensus. A passing Atlantic low-pressure system is delivering overcast skies and precipitation that limit solar heating, while the maritime air mass prevents significant warming. These conditions align with the market’s strong preference for 18 °C (55.5 % implied probability) and secondary support for 17 °C (21.5 %). Historical September averages near 19 °C provide context, yet the current synoptic pattern favors values at or below the seasonal norm. Updated model runs and any clearing trends ahead of peak heating hours remain the key variables that could shift the distribution before resolution.
