**Market-implied odds cluster tightly around 30–31°C for Beijing’s September 17 high, reflecting modest forecast spread amid stable late-summer conditions.** Official and ensemble guidance from sources including the China Meteorological Administration and international models consistently project a daytime maximum near 29–31°C under multi-cloudy skies, light southwest winds, and overnight lows near 19°C. Recent days have featured above-average warmth, with September 16 highs reaching 30–31°C, supporting the elevated trader consensus relative to the 1991–2020 climatological average of 26°C. Differentiating factors among the leading outcomes include small variations in cloud timing and thickness, which modulate incoming solar radiation, and subtle differences in boundary-layer mixing or southerly flow strength that can add or subtract 1°C. No strong frontal passage or precipitation is expected, keeping resolution sensitive to the final afternoon observation at standard stations. Updated model runs and official briefings through the evening of September 16 will provide the next key data points for traders.
