**Forecast models from sources including GFS and agency guidance point to a daily maximum near 28°C in Shanghai on September 15, 2026, under stable high-pressure conditions and northeasterly flow.** Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with minimal precipitation risk and moderate humidity support this outcome, consistent with mid-September climatology where average highs hover around 27–28°C. Recent model runs show little disagreement, with hourly data clustering between 27–29°C and limited potential for brief spikes or cooling. Trader consensus, reflected in the 66.5% implied probability for 28°C, aligns with this consensus forecast, while the 27% share for 27°C and 9% for 29°C capture residual uncertainty in exact peak timing and local measurement. Updated briefings closer to the date will refine these probabilities as new observational data arrives.

In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
