Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and major models project an overnight low near 76°F for Austin on September 22, driven by persistent high pressure, elevated humidity, and light variable winds that limit radiational cooling. Historical September averages around 66°F highlight the current anomaly, with recent days showing minimums in the mid-70s and minimal overnight drops. This consensus favors 74–77°F buckets in the market while explaining elevated odds on both sub-67°F and 86°F+ extremes as reflections of model spread and tail-risk hedging rather than baseline expectations. Updated evening observations and any late-day convection could refine the final reading before resolution.
