Democratic Representative Lois Frankel has filed for the redrawn Florida 23rd district ahead of the August 18 primaries and November general election, following the legislature’s approval and court upholding of Governor DeSantis’s May 2026 map. The new boundaries shift the seat northward into central Palm Beach County, producing a strongly Democratic partisan voting index that ratings firms classify as Solid or Lean Democratic. Multiple Republican primary contenders have emerged, yet the district’s composition and Frankel’s incumbency and fundraising advantage have produced the current trader consensus favoring the Democratic nominee at 82 percent. No major late developments have altered the structural tilt since the map stabilized.
