Florida's 23rd congressional district enters the 2026 cycle as a solidly Democratic seat following the state's May 2026 redistricting, which produced a new map with a Cook Partisan Voting Index of D+9 and prompted ratings upgrades from Solid Democratic by Cook Political Report and Inside Elections. Incumbent Democratic Rep. Lois Frankel filed for re-election and faces only token primary opposition, while a fragmented Republican primary field includes multiple lesser-known candidates with limited statewide visibility. The general election remains months away after the August primaries, leaving room for campaign developments, fundraising differentials, or turnout shifts to influence final margins. Trader consensus reflects the district's structural Democratic lean while incorporating uncertainty around the still-evolving candidate matchups and any late-cycle national dynamics.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
