Goldman Sachs holds the leading 68.5% implied probability as lead underwriter for OpenAI’s IPO due to its recent win as lead left on the SpaceX offering and established role guiding the AI company’s confidential S-1 filing alongside Morgan Stanley. OpenAI’s June 2026 filing and preparations for a potential late-2026 or 2027 listing have reinforced trader views of Goldman’s edge in allocation influence and tech IPO execution, especially amid separate deal teams formed to handle competition with Anthropic. Morgan Stanley’s 24.5% reflects its comparable advisory position, while lower shares for Bank of America, JPMorgan, and others align with supporting roles only. Key catalysts ahead include official prospectus details and any timeline updates from OpenAI leadership.

If no IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or OpenAI completes an initial public offering without a designated lead underwriter, this market will resolve to “Other.”
If multiple banks are identified as lead underwriters, this market will resolve according to the primary lead underwriter. If the hierarchy between them is unclear, this market will resolve once it is conclusively evident which bank is the primary lead underwriter, for example, through the order in which the banks are listed in the underwriting section of OpenAI's final initial public offering prospectus, once released.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official disclosures from OpenAI. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
