The 2026 Toronto mayoral election is currently scheduled to be held on October 26, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate who becomes the next mayor of Toronto as a result of this election. Temporary, interim, or placeholder mayors appointed before the election will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting; however, if there is any ambiguity in the results, this market will resolve according to official information from Toronto.Olivia Chow holds a commanding position in the 2026 Toronto mayoral race, scheduled for October 26, as the incumbent seeking a full term after her 2023 by-election victory. Her recent campaign launch highlighted achievements such as expanded library hours, TTC fare freezes, school nutrition programs, and housing initiatives, drawing strong labor and council support. Recent polling shows her at roughly 50 percent among decided voters, ahead of city councillor Brad Bradford at 39 percent and former federal minister Chris Alexander at 10 percent, though voter concerns over property taxes remain elevated. Bradford’s support has plateaued amid limited debate participation contrasts and regional weaknesses, while the broader field of dozens of candidates fragments opposition votes. These dynamics, combined with incumbency advantages and the short timeline to election day, underpin trader consensus reflected in current market pricing.
