The Republican Party maintains a commanding position in Wisconsin's 6th Congressional District heading into the November 2026 general election, driven by the seat's consistent R+8 partisan voting index and long track record of GOP control. Incumbent Representative Glenn Grothman, first elected in 2014 and reelected with 61% in 2024, benefits from strong name recognition and fundraising advantages over Democratic primary contenders. Recent May 2026 polling showed Grothman leading both generic and named Democratic opponents by double digits, though an independent union-backed candidate has narrowed some hypothetical matchups. Race ratings from Cook Political Report and others classify the contest as Solid Republican, reflecting limited crossover appeal in a district encompassing Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, and Sheboygan areas. The August 11 primaries will further clarify the field ahead of the general election.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
