Market-implied odds assign the highest probability (63.5%) to July 2026 PPI YoY at or below 5.1%, reflecting trader expectations for continued moderation in producer prices driven by easing commodity costs, stable supply chains, and softening demand pressures. Recent economic releases showing contained upstream inflation and labor market cooling have reinforced this consensus, aligning with the Fed's focus on bringing inflation sustainably toward target. Lower-probability outcomes clustered around 5.2–5.4% capture residual uncertainty ahead of the August data release, while tail risks above 5.7% price in potential upside surprises from energy or housing components. The distribution underscores skin-in-the-game sentiment that recent disinflation trends will persist into the July print.
