Recent National Weather Service and GFS-based forecasts for Chicago on September 11 indicate mostly sunny skies with a daytime high near 75–82 °F, driven by light southeast winds and modest surface heating under high pressure. Model consensus centers on an afternoon peak in the upper 70s to low 80s, consistent with climatological norms of about 78 °F for the date and the absence of strong frontal systems or moisture that could alter temperatures. This positions the 80–81 °F bin as the market leader at 63.5 % implied probability, while lower ranges reflect downside risks from any forecast cooling or timing shifts. Updated model runs and official NWS briefings expected later today remain the key near-term catalysts for any probability adjustments.
