Recent National Weather Service and model guidance points to a minimum temperature in the mid-70s for Austin on September 15, driven by persistent southerly flow, high dew points, and limited nocturnal radiational cooling under partly cloudy skies. This baseline supports the elevated market-implied odds on 76-77°F while also leaving room for upside or downside surprises. Late-summer warm-air advection and urban heat-island effects can keep overnight lows several degrees above climatological norms, boosting the 88°F-or-higher bucket, whereas any earlier-than-expected cold-front passage or clearer skies could push readings into the upper 60s, explaining the notable probability on 69°F or below. Updated model runs and official NWS forecasts issued over the next 12–24 hours will be the key catalysts likely to shift these implied probabilities.
