This aligns closely with the long-term average minimum of 55.3°F for the date and reflects typical late-summer marine-layer influence moderating radiative cooling overnight. Subtle differences among leading bins (centered on 52–61°F) arise from uncertainty in cloud timing, boundary-layer moisture, and the exact arrival of a weak frontal system, all of which can shift the minimum by a few degrees. Ensemble spreads remain modest this close to the event, keeping higher and lower extremes less favored in trader assessments.
