National Weather Service forecasts and supporting models indicate Miami highs near 89°F on August 30 amid scattered to likely afternoon thunderstorms driven by easterly flow and sea-breeze boundaries. This pattern, typical for late August, features high moisture content and instability that promotes cloud cover and convective cooling, keeping temperatures clustered around the 88–92°F range rather than allowing stronger heating. Historical climatology places average daily maxima near 90°F, providing context for why the market-implied odds concentrate on the 90–91°F bin as the modal outcome while assigning meaningful probability to adjacent ranges; recent model runs show limited day-to-day variability but note that storm timing and coverage remain the key uncertainty ahead of final resolution.
