Current National Weather Service and private model consensus points to a daily minimum in the lower to mid-50s °F for Seattle on August 30, driven by persistent upper-level troughing, onshore marine flow, and variable cloud cover that limits radiational cooling. A modest chance of showers or marine-layer stratus could further moderate overnight lows near the Sound, while partial clearing would allow slightly stronger cooling. Historical averages place the date’s typical low near 55–56 °F, with records showing 45 °F is rare but possible under stronger northerly flow. The tight clustering of market-implied probabilities across the 52–64 °F range reflects genuine forecast uncertainty in exact minimum thresholds and resolution criteria, with new model runs and short-term observations expected to sharpen the distribution before the close of trading.
