Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Bulgaria on April 19, 2026. This market will resolve to the next individual who is officially sworn in as Prime Minister of Bulgaria following the next parliamentary election. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally sworn in. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister is appointed by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Bulgaria; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Former President Rumen Radev's Progressive Bulgaria coalition leads recent polling averages at around 30 percent ahead of Bulgaria's snap parliamentary election on April 19—the eighth in five years following the Zhelyazkov government's December 2025 resignation amid corruption protests—fueling trader consensus of 89 percent implied probability for Radev as next prime minister, as the president awards the first mandate to the largest bloc. Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov, a central bank official appointed in February 2026, trades at 5 percent on his interim role and pledges for clean elections, including vote-buying crackdowns. GERB leader Boyko Borissov lingers at 4 percent amid fragmented field and voter frustration with repeated failed coalitions, though post-election negotiations could shift dynamics.
