The Nuevo León gubernatorial race for 2027 remains tightly contested in trader pricing, with Adrián de la Garza Santos leading at 26% amid a fragmented field that includes Luis Donaldo Colosio Riojas, Mariana Rodríguez Cantú, Waldo Fernández González, and several others below 15%. Recent polls reflect similar closeness, driven by Movimiento Ciudadano’s incumbency edge under Samuel García, Morena’s party identification advantage, and potential PRI-PAN alliances, while internal candidate selection processes in each party stay unresolved. A September visit by President Claudia Sheinbaum and ongoing Morena unity efforts could influence positioning, as could any formal party nominations or alliance announcements before the 2027 ballot. Late shifts in polling, scandals, or economic conditions in the state may widen gaps among frontrunners.
