Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah holds the leading position in the 2027 Enugu State gubernatorial race at 68 percent implied probability, driven by his incumbency, switch from PDP to APC, and overwhelming primary victory. Recent federal allocations under the current administration have supported state infrastructure projects, bolstering his record ahead of the February 2027 vote. Opposition candidates including James Ene Nwannaji, Dona Nwogbo, and Geoffrey Uchechukwu Nnaji trail at lower odds amid a fragmented field, with limited evidence of unified challenges or strong polling momentum. Trader consensus reflects Mbah's strategic positioning and historical advantages for sitting governors seeking re-election, though outcomes remain subject to campaign developments and voter turnout patterns in the coming months.
