The crowded field of more than a dozen registered candidates for Trujillo's October 4, 2026 municipal election has kept implied probabilities dispersed, with no contender exceeding 34 percent market share. Incumbent Mario Colberth Reyna Rodríguez leads at 33.4 percent, ahead of Víctor Robert De La Cruz Rosas, Roy Charlie Arbaiza Corcuera, and others clustered in the low-to-mid 20s and below. Recent candidate registrations and list finalizations have reinforced fragmentation across parties and independents, while voter focus on local priorities such as infrastructure and public services has yet to consolidate support. The absence of major polling shifts or high-profile endorsements in recent weeks sustains the tight distribution, though scheduled debates or late-campaign developments could realign trader sentiment before election day.
