Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to a high near 75–76°F in Los Angeles on September 21, with morning marine-layer clouds giving way to sun and southwest winds around 15 mph. This pattern, reinforced by onshore flow and a modest marine layer typical for mid-September, keeps readings below the seasonal average of roughly 82°F and explains the tight clustering of market-implied probabilities on the 74–77°F outcomes. Minor differences among forecasts hinge on exact cloud timing, boundary-layer mixing, and whether the high reaches the low 80s or stays capped in the mid-70s; updated model runs and official briefings in the next 48 hours will narrow that spread ahead of market resolution.
