Singapore's late-September temperatures typically peak near 31–32°C amid the tail of the Southwest Monsoon and inter-monsoon transition, with afternoon thundery showers providing occasional moderation through cloud cover and evaporative cooling. Recent below-average rainfall and multiple days exceeding 34°C have kept surface heating elevated, yet official outlooks project daily maxima of 33–34°C for late September with potential for localized 35°C spikes. Short-range model guidance for September 22 points to a high around 32°C under partly cloudy, humid conditions with a 50–60% storm chance, aligning with the market's strong 32°C weighting. Persistent humidity above 75% and urban heat effects limit variance, while steering patterns and any regional wind convergence remain the key variables that could nudge the peak higher or allow brief cooling.
