Recent short-term forecast model runs for Guangzhou show expected overnight lows near 26–27°C on September 19, aligning with seasonal norms slightly above the long-term average of 23.9°C, yet Polymarket odds remain nearly even between 20°C or below (42.0%) and 30°C or higher (39.5%). This split reflects uncertainty in nocturnal radiative cooling rates, cloud cover, and possible weak frontal passages that could either enhance or suppress minimum temperatures. Humidity levels around 60–70% and light winds may limit extreme drops, while clearer conditions could allow greater cooling. Traders are monitoring the next ECMWF and GFS model updates for shifts in boundary-layer forecasts ahead of the close.
