The crowded field of more than two dozen registered candidates for the October 4, 2026, Maynas mayoral election in Peru’s Loreto region has produced a fragmented vote that keeps implied probabilities tightly clustered near the top of the order. Early 2026 surveys showed shifting leads, with Roger Gronerth Pinedo initially ahead before later polls such as one from IDR Consultores placed Boris Morey Sifuentes narrowly in front amid similar support levels for Cleiver Inuma Chávez and others. No candidate has yet consolidated a durable plurality, and trader consensus reflects this uncertainty. Fresh polling, formal party alliances, or visible campaign momentum in the final weeks before the vote could concentrate preferences and widen gaps among the leading contenders.
