Julianne Moore holds the clearest lead in the early 2027 Best Actress market thanks to glowing Telluride reception for her lead turn in Jesse Eisenberg’s A24 musical dramedy *The Debut*, positioning her as the Academy’s preferred veteran comeback story. Traders have priced in her five-time nominee status and the film’s strong awards positioning ahead of its December release. Inde Navarrette sits next at a distant but notable level on the strength of Focus Features’ full campaign push for her chilling lead in the horror hit *Obsession*, including recent festival and critics’ recognition. Lower-priced contenders such as Renate Reinsve, Sandra Hüller, and Virginie Efira reflect solid precursor potential but lack the same immediate momentum. With no guild or critics’ awards yet decided and festival season still unfolding, the market remains fluid ahead of key late-2026 releases and early-2027 precursors.
