This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Masroor Airbase Station in degrees Celsius on 19 Apr '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day by the Forecast for the Masroor Airbase Station once information is finalized, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/pk/karachi/OPKC. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve to "Yes" until all data for this date has been finalized. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Official observations at Karachi's Masroor Airbase Station—the market's resolution source—peaked at 33°C midday on April 19, 2026, driving trader consensus to 100% implied probability amid southwest winds of 15–30 km/h and persistent haze/smoke that reduced solar insolation and prevented further heating. Pakistan Meteorological Department data shows morning temperatures starting at 27–28°C under mostly hot, dry conditions, aligning with April climatological norms where highs average 33–34°C but are moderated by sea breezes. Model forecasts had suggested potential up to 35–37°C, but real-time visibility and wind shear capped intensity. A realistic challenge would require a post-sunset data revision or overlooked sensor reading exceeding 33°C, though evening cooling makes this improbable as PMD finalizes daily summaries.
