Forecast models from sources including Environment Canada and GFS consensus show a high near 20–21°C for Toronto on September 20, driven by persistent northeasterly flow advecting cooler maritime air and widespread cloud cover with a 30–40% chance of light showers that limit solar heating. This aligns with the seasonal decline in temperatures, where the 1991–2020 climatological average high stands at 21°C. Recent days featured similar easterly winds and overcast conditions that capped readings below seasonal norms, creating tight market-implied odds between 19°C and 21°C. Official resolution will rely on the highest hourly or daily maximum recorded at Pearson International Airport or downtown stations, with final data releases expected shortly after sunset on the 20th.
