Persistent high pressure and a warm, humid air mass kept overnight lows in Atlanta elevated on September 15, with clear skies and light easterly winds limiting radiational cooling. Official observations recorded a minimum of 74–75°F at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, aligning with National Weather Service forecasts issued that afternoon projecting lows near 70–75°F under mostly clear conditions. This outcome reflects typical late-summer climatology for the region, where average September lows hover around 66°F but recent weeks featured above-normal temperatures and dew points in the upper 60s that suppressed further drops. Trader consensus at 93.5% implied probability for the 74–75°F bin was reinforced by converging model guidance and real-time station data, though minor variations in microclimate or measurement timing could have shifted resolution within adjacent ranges.
