**Recent official forecasts from the Meteorological Service Singapore position afternoon thundery showers as the key factor moderating maximum temperatures on September 23.** The 4-day outlook specifically projects a 33°C high with late-morning to early-afternoon convection under prevailing southwest monsoon flow, consistent with the fortnightly guidance of 33–34°C maxima on most days and occasional 35°C peaks. Recent observations show highs reaching 34.6°C on September 19 amid drier conditions, but increased shower activity expected through the period favors slightly lower peaks. Equatorial humidity and typical diurnal heating patterns support 32–33°C as the modal range, aligning with trader consensus on those outcomes while limiting upside to 34°C or above. Updated model runs and daily briefings through September 22 will refine the exact peak before market resolution.
