**Current National Weather Service observations and forecasts for Los Angeles point to an overnight low in the mid-60s on September 23, driven by clear skies, light winds, and moderate radiational cooling beneath a stable high-pressure ridge.** Daytime highs reached the mid-80s under sunny conditions, setting up typical early-fall cooling once solar heating ends. Marine-layer moisture and the urban heat island effect introduce modest uncertainty in exact minimum readings across stations, with official guidance centering on 63–68°F. This scientific context supports the market-implied odds favoring 66–67°F, as traders weigh consistent model runs and climatological norms against the narrow window for further cooling before sunrise. No major forecast shifts have emerged in the past 24 hours to alter this positioning.
