Recent observations from Central Park and surrounding stations show overnight lows holding near 66°F under partly cloudy skies with light northeast winds, aligning with model consensus from NOAA for a daily minimum in the 66-67°F range. This positions the market-implied odds strongly, reflecting skin-in-the-game trader assessment of verified surface data rather than longer-range projections. Historical September averages near 63°F provide context, but current atmospheric conditions, including stable high pressure and minimal nocturnal cooling, support the elevated floor. A realistic challenge could arise only from an unexpected late-day cold front or revised official station reading dipping into the low 60s, though no such shift appears in the latest guidance.
