Latest National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance for Houston shows persistent southerly flow, high dew points near 75°F, and partly to mostly cloudy conditions that limit radiative cooling, supporting overnight lows in the upper 70s on September 14. These factors align with climatological norms for mid-September but leave room for variability if a weak front or clearer skies develop. The near-even market split between 71°F or below and 90°F or higher captures genuine forecast uncertainty around exact minimum timing, cloud trends, and any late adjustments in steering winds, with new model runs and local observations expected to clarify outcomes ahead of resolution.
