Trader consensus favors CDU with 57.5% implied probability to emerge as the largest party in Berlin's Abgeordnetenhauswahl on September 20, 2026, reflecting its consistent 4-6 point lead in recent Sonntagsfragen amid fragmentation among challengers. The latest INSA poll (April 7-14) shows CDU at 21%, ahead of SPD and AfD tied at 17%, Grüne and Linke at 15%, with BSW, FDP, and others trailing low—echoing March Civey results and stable since February. Discontent with the SPD-Grüne-Linke governing coalition, exacerbated by January's major power outage and SPD's sharp drop in eastern districts, sustains CDU momentum boosted by its recent Rhineland-Palatinate state win, though tight margins and undecided voters leave room for shifts before polling day.
