Current National Weather Service and model consensus for Dallas on September 21 points to a high in the mid-90s, with most guidance clustered between 94–97 °F amid a 20 percent chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Southerly flow and elevated dew points near 70 °F will support heat indices above 105 °F early in the day before a wind shift to northerly directions limits further warming and introduces modest mixing. This setup explains the tight clustering of market-implied probabilities around 92–97 °F bins, as small differences in timing of the frontal passage or convective initiation can shift the daily maximum by a degree or two. Historical late-September averages near 88 °F underscore the anomalous warmth still in place, though the approaching change in steering pattern introduces the primary uncertainty for final resolution.
